Individual Therapy

According to the World Health Organization, anxiety, stress, depression, and loneliness are on the rise, which affects mental, emotional, and physical health, reducing the quality of life. We live in a fast-paced society that at times, may feel like you’re living on the hamster wheel of life. Compounded by national and world events causing more divisiveness, blame, and confusion can be unsettling.

You may feel trapped, out of balance, or have a subtle sense of dread or fear hiding in the shadows. Regardless of what is happening in the external world, you can learn to slow down and connect to your body and the inner wisdom within. Bessel van der Kolk’s book title aptly states so clearly — The Body Keeps The Score. With awareness and through processing trauma, grief, and chronic stress, you can heal. There is hope.

Through learning, practicing new skills, and developing tools, you prioritize what’s important to you. Change takes courage and commitment, and is a must for growth. An important ancient spiritual teaching is letting go—of our thoughts, expectations, judgments, control, and fears. It means letting go of our old baggage that magnifies or maintains reactivity, triggers, and defenses. Through self-reflection and somatic connection, you will discover the roots of your blocks originating from your past and move forward in your life successfully, with a deeper sense of balance and inner calm.
