Walk & Talk Therapy

Join me for walking therapy sessions on scenic walking paths, where you can discover the benefits of walking on your mental and physical health. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, and we walk anywhere from 20 to 50 minutes, depending on the goals for the session. We may walk the entire session or spend part or all of it in the office (including weather permitting).

Getting out of the office and walking at a rhythmic pace while noticing the scenery lowers worry and stress and resets your nervous system. Nature promotes mindfulness, which is the ability to be fully aware in the present moment, by focusing on external sights and sounds. While learning mindfulness-based skills you will discover how easy it is to practice outside of sessions, bringing you closer to the results you desire.


Talking and walking together can help process issues, get unstuck, and find new solutions to problems. The efficacy of movement on improved mental states is well-documented. The benefits include resiliency, balance, feelings of liveliness, a renewed sense of purpose, and an overall sense of well-being.
